Road to Kalos

A week-long lead-up to GO Tour: Kalos – Global from 23 to 27 February that revisits one earlier GO Tour region each day: Kanto on Monday, Johto on Tuesday, Hoenn on Wednesday, Sinnoh on Thursday and Unova on Friday. Pikachu wearing Red's, Leaf's, Ethan's and Lyra's hats make their debuts, and each day brings that region's starters to the wild, two costumed Pikachu to one-star raids and the region's GO Tour legendaries to raids with special backgrounds and featured attacks. Everyone gets a Beedrill to Mega Evolve through a new introduction to Mega Evolution, and the Road to Kalos GO Pass also starts here and runs through the Tour weekend, with Mega Lucario Energy and, for Deluxe holders, Hoopa Unbound among its rewards.

Event bonuses

• ½ hatch distance for Eggs placed in an Incubator during the event
• Remote Raid Pass limit raised to 30 from 23 to 27 February, with no limit at all on 28 February and 1 March
• Raid Hour from 18:00 to 19:00 each day with that day's five-star, Shadow or Primal bosses
• On Thursday and Friday the raid bosses swap every hour (after 30 minutes during Raid Hour): Thursday opens with Pikachu wearing Lucas's and Dawn's hats, Dialga and Palkia, then switches to Pikachu wearing Rei's cap and Akari's kerchief and the Origin Formes; Friday opens with Pikachu wearing Hilbert's and Hilda's hats, Reshiram and Black Kyurem, then switches to Pikachu wearing Nate's and Rosa's visors, Zekrom and White Kyurem
• Featured attacks from raids: Articuno with Hurricane, Zapdos with Thunder Shock, Moltres with Sky Attack, Kyogre with Origin Pulse, Groudon with Precipice Blades, Reshiram with Fusion Flare and Zekrom with Fusion Bolt; Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia have a chance of Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, and Kyurem a chance of Glaciate
• Black Kyurem and White Kyurem raids give Fusion Energy
• New daily Special Backgrounds possible on any Pokémon caught from a raid: Team Mystic, Instinct and Valor themes on Monday, Gold and Silver on Tuesday, Ruby and Sapphire on Wednesday, Diamond and Pearl on Thursday, Black and White on Friday
• Fusing a Reshiram or Zekrom with a Special Background with a Kyurem that has the opposite-colour background gives the fused Kyurem its own variant background
• A new introduction to Mega Evolution from 23 February with a Beedrill encounter and enough Beedrill Mega Energy to Mega Evolve it
• Pokémon and item storage limits raised by 500
• New region-themed Timed Research each day from 05:00, to be completed and claimed by 22:00 that day: Candy, TMs and costumed Pikachu encounters
• New region-themed Field Research each day from midnight: Candy and Candy XL for the day's featured raid bosses and costumed Pikachu encounters
• Pokémon from Timed and Field Research don't have Special Backgrounds

Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global ticket

• Mega Evolution progresses towards the next Mega Level 6× faster than usual each day, with only one Mega Evolution per Pokémon counting each day; the rest period is unchanged

GO Pass

The GO Pass runs from 23 February at 10:00 to 1 March at 18:00 local time, and its rewards must be claimed by 3 March at 17:59 local time. GO Points are capped daily from 23 to 27 February, with no cap on 28 February and 1 March. While it runs, Link Charges from weekly challenges, Timed Research, Special Research and the GO Pass can go beyond the usual storage limit.

• Scatterbug appears more often when you pin Gifts (even more often with Deluxe)
• Open up to 100 Gifts a day, receive up to 200 Gifts a day from spinning Photo Discs and hold up to 40 Gifts
• 1.5× Catch XP
• 1 extra Candy, and 1 extra Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and above, for catches from five-star, Mega, Primal and Shadow raids (Deluxe)
• 2× Hatch Candy (Deluxe)

Tier 2

• Large increase to Premier Ball catch effectiveness
• 2× Catch XP
• 5,000 extra XP from completed raids (Deluxe)
