The event has now finished.

A one-day event in Indonesia on 2 October that brings Pikachu wearing a batik shirt to Pokémon GO for the first time, with a Special Background and a chance of it being shiny. Look for it in the wild, through Timed Research, with Incense and in surprise encounters when photographing your own Pokémon. Grass and Bug-type Pokémon such as Oddish, Hoppip and Ledyba also appear more often.

Event bonuses

  • Higher shiny chance for the event Pokémon in the wild
  • Incense lasts 2 hours and attracts Pikachu in a batik shirt and other event Pokémon more often
  • Surprise encounters with Pikachu in a batik shirt when taking snapshots of your own Pokémon (not wild ones)
  • Timed Research, available from 28 September at 06:00 to 10 October at 23:59, rewarding encounters with Pikachu in a batik shirt with a Special Background, Oddish, Ledyba and Hoppip, plus 1,000 XP and 1,000 Stardust
  • Collection Challenge for catching event Pokémon, rewarding XP, Stardust and Pikachu batik shirt stickers
