Sandile hatches far more often from 2 km Eggs during this Saturday afternoon event, on 17 October, with a better chance of a shiny one. It's a good time to stock up on 2 km Eggs and walk them off at half the usual distance. A free Timed Research and an optional paid one with further hatching bonuses are on offer.

Bramblin makes its Pokémon GO debut in this walking-themed event from 13 to 19 October. Mega Manectric can be raised to Super Max Mega Level for the first time, so it is a good week to walk with Electrike or Manectric as your buddy and collect Mega Energy. Incense attracts a different set of Pokémon from 16 October, including Hisuian Growlithe with a better shiny chance, and there is a free Timed Research with a Pikachu wearing a marathon visor.

October's GO Pass runs from 6 October to 3 November, with a Kyogre encounter among the rewards for ranking up. GO Pass Deluxe brings back the Lucky Trinket as its final reward, letting you make a Lucky Friend without reaching Best Friends. Plan to play over 31 October and 1 November, when there is no daily cap on GO Points.

The Twilight Trails season of the GO Battle League runs from 8 September to 1 December, with ranks reset at the start. Mega-Evolved Pokémon can now battle in the league through Mega Edition versions of the Great, Ultra and Master Leagues and several Mega-themed cups, and many attacks have been rebalanced or added to Pokémon's movesets. Climbing the ranks earns Ryme-inspired avatar items and reward encounters, and a free Timed Research pass tracks your wins all season.
