Festival of Colors

Festival of Colors returns for Trainers in India from 4 to 8 March, bringing back Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing a kurta, both of which can have a Special Background. You can catch them during the short Colorful O'Clock windows each day or in raids at sponsored Gyms in seven cities. The free Timed Research ends with a choice of a Special Background encounter with either one.

Event bonuses

• Colorful O'Clock: event Pokémon appear more often in the wild for five minutes at 10:00, 13:00 and 19:00
• Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing a kurta may have a Special Background when caught from raids or during Colorful O'Clock
• One-star raids with both Pikachu, only at sponsored Gyms in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park (Mumbai), Dr. Visvesvaraya Tower Park (Chennai), Indira Park (Hyderabad), Lodhi Gardens (New Delhi), Rabindra Sarobar (Kolkata), Saras Baug (Pune) and Sri Chamarajendra Park (Cubbon Park, Bengaluru)
• Lure Modules activated during the event last three hours
• 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon
• Stickers of Pikachu wearing a kurta and Pikachu wearing a saree from spinning PokéStops
• A colourful effect appears around PokéStops when you get close
• Collection Challenges for catching event Pokémon, rewarding Stardust and XP
• Free Timed Research rewarding a Lucky Egg, Rare Candy, stickers and a branched choice of an encounter with either Pikachu with a Special Background; rewards must be claimed by 11 March at 23:59 local time
