The Community Day this month features the ground-type Pokémon Trapinch. On the Second Saturday in October, you'll have 3 hours to catch all the Trapinch you can.

Starting at 11am, and finishing at 2pm (local time), the spawn rate of Trapinch will be greatly increased, and you'll also have a chance of finding a shiny Trapinch if you're lucky!

Trapinch's nest is a sloped, bowl-like pit dug in sand. This Pokémon patiently waits for prey to tumble down the pit. Its giant jaws have enough strength to crush even boulders.

Event bonuses

• 3 × Catch XP. This gives you a substantial boost for gaining levels, especially if you combine it with a Lucky Egg.
• 3-hour lures. Keep those lures active for longer - this lets you have just one lure active throughout the whole event.

Exclusive move

Flygon will be able to learn an exclusive move whilst this event is active. The move will be announced nearer the date, but it usually ends up being a powerful move.

Do note, in order to learn the exclusive move, the Trapinch must be caught or evolved during the Community Day hours. The TMs will not give you a chance of obtaining the exclusive move.
