August 2026 Community Day: Nickit

Nickit, chosen by players in a YouTube vote over Yamper, Fidough and Tadbulb, is the featured Pokémon of the August Community Day on Sunday 16 August. It appears far more often in the wild, can be shiny or have a Special Background, and evolving it gives a Thievul with Icy Wind. Lure Modules keep attracting Nickit into the evening, and a paid Special Research offers more Special Background encounters.
