A Catch Mastery event on Saturday 7 February that rewards accurate throws and features Oricorio, whose style depends on where you play: Baile in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Pom-Pom in the Americas, Pa'u on African, Asian, Pacific and Caribbean islands, and Sensu in Asia-Pacific. Oricorio comes only from research, with a better shiny chance, so it is a good day to hunt its local style through Field Research and the free and paid Timed Research while landing Nice Throws or better for extra XP and Candy.
Event bonuses
- 2× XP for catches made with a Nice Throw or better
- Extra Candy for catches made with a Nice Throw or better
- Hoothoot and Starly appear more often in the wild, with a better shiny chance
- Field Research tasks focused on throwing accuracy
- Free Timed Research focused on catching Oricorio, with Oricorio encounters, XP and Stardust
- Better shiny chance for Oricorio
